ATSIC S02E42 - NEW TRICKS
So I named this one this because I liked the Mo Littles song that’s featured this week quite a bit, but also because I just started a Twitch account and started streaming the creation of #ATSIC, along with a three camera studio feed for when I’m working on my own music or recording other artists. It’s been a fun and ongoing learning curve, I’m still tweaking things as I go but for now I like the looks of it. I’m excited at the idea of doing the live stream while I put the show together to give people a bit more of my thoughts on each song, or to be able to chat with people about the music as we listen. Always open to suggestions too. I don’t have enough people to sit around and talk Hip Hop with, so if that sounds like something you want to do, feel free to hit me with a follow or sub over there. I’ll also be streaming some random gaming, cuz if I’m playing anyways I might as well.
As for reason you listen to these things, the music: This episode has solid representation from coast to coast.
Merkules, Concise, Checkmate, and Switch all have new music from the far West. Drezus & Dakota Bear, Rebecca Dawn & Bvitae, and Tariiiq had new releases from the prairies. R.A.P., Kidd Danielz with Adam Bomb & Tona, Mo Littles, and Futurewave all had new stuff originating from Toronto area, and Fortunato’s new collab album with Lxvndr, “Moonwater” counts as East Coast, cuz she’s repping PEI. So there it is.
If you like these shows, or even if you like some of the music in them, show support by telling a friend or sharing it on social media. I don’t pay to advertise this, but I do put a bunch of time and effort into sharing new music I think deserves a free push. Support the artists you like. Most sell merch, just find them on social media and see how you can show some love. I also have a merch section on this very site, if you’d like to send some love my way. It’s all greatly appreciated. I recommend a 10 From 11 shirt, they’re dope, designed in collab with Jaymie Magreggor, a Vancouver based artist. They’re also the only physical proof of my newest album with DJ Moves.
Hope you enjoy the mix.
I’ll post the track list below.
Stay Up.
