Circle Back - Lyric Video
Keepin them coming for #FPG4Ever. This one was a bunch of bars I recorded on top of a beat that I didn’t have the rights to use, so I reached out to Calgary based producer “The Dirty Sample”, and he got busy doing this and a couple other remixes. This is the first to see the internets.
”Thought I’d mix a bit of knowledge with the scripts
get the gospel to the kids, let positivity live.
That’s top of the list, so we’ll start it with that.
Sorta like how Sedgewick Ave is where they started it at,
but they forgot about that. Like Starter jackets or Dre.
Theses days you can die from heart attacks or a stray.
Hear a guy drive by as you’re laying there dying,
and he’s playing something glorifying horrifying violence.
Why the emcees so silent? Please, someone turn my mic up.
& Let me know the second my pay grade gets hiked up.”
If you don’t know The Dirty Sample’s work, check out his albums with Touch, his group projects with Port Authority, or his own album as Apeface. Dude’s been producing really good Hip Hop for a long time. I was stoked to get a chance to work with him on this, and looking forward to sharing the others he did, and making more down the line.
Stay Up.
