Fly In Formation - JRoberts
This one had some hurdles to overcome with tech and scheduling problems, but when we did get things lined up and working, it was a great talk. The first week when the interview was originally scheduled, May 21, my mic was making the meter jump on OBS (streaming program), and was working for J to hear me on Zoom, but for some reason the stream wasn’t getting the audio from my side. So I pulled the plug and we rescheduled. The week after, Mr Roberts was down in Florida for a bachelor party which he had forgetten was happening until the day of. So we bumped it back to Monday June 3 and promoted it for a third time.. but day of, J told me he’d brought pneumonia home from Florida (its called Covid 19 I believe, and surely all of Florida has it these days right?), so we bumped it to June 5 and it finally worked out, two days before his wedding. I’m sure it was a super busy time leading up to the wedding so I’m super grateful that J was flexible enough to make it happen one way or the other. The interview here has the first 10 minutes from the first talk (with my parts dubbed in after the fact paraphrasing what I could remember asking, and then it gets into the follow up after that.
Through June, Fly in Formation is doubling down and I’ll be talking with artists twice a week. I’ve lined up 9 artists through the course of the month, every Tuesday and Saturday.
