Kitz Willman is a Winnipeg based emcee and producer who has caught my ear over the past years doing #ATSIC, and I got a chance to ask him some questions to help better understand his origin story and unorthodox approach to being an indie artist. We chopped it up about a variety of topics from Canadian Hip Hop Tik Tok, to his hardcore band history, how it always helps when someone more established than you opens the gate for you, and a bunch of opinions on the usual “How Important Is” segment. We also did our best to be one another’s doppelgangers. If I ever need an MF DOOM style stand in for a show, I know who to ask.

Through June Fly in Formation is accelerating to a breathtaking 2 a week pace, talking with 9 artists through the course of the month.
