Fly In Formation - Roshin
I was really happy that Roshin would call in to talk with me, he’s been making excellent music and receiving a lot of well deserved attention lately and just released a really solid project, “Underthinking”, pairing with his longtime homie Hep on production. There was a bit of a hiccup when I forgot to turn the music off for the first minute of the interview, but not a big deal, you know who you’re watching and probably don’t need my intro babble anyways. We got into topics ranging from touring Alberta, comicbooks and DnD, to collabing with Sean P, and the usual bunch of opinions on the “How Important” segment, with his feelings on vinyl, grants, and even romantic partners. I’m excited to hear what Roshin has coming up next, he mentioned several projects, and told me he’s been putting in a regular weekly appearance at one studio or the next, so there shouldn’t be any shortage of dope in the months to come.
Through June, Fly in Formation is doubling down and I’ll be talking with artists twice a week. I’ve lined up 9 artists through the course of the month, every Tuesday and Saturday. Everyone is welcome, come through and say hi or ask a question for the guest - if it makes sense I’ll pretend I thought of it myself.. or if you’re someone who’s name I recognize as a collaborator of the artist I’m talking to I might even ask it like I did this time - “how much cheese have you eaten today” seemed like vital information for the people to hear.
