A few months back my homie Skizza out in Saskatoon asked if I wanted to join a crew called the Sons of Boombap, which is basically a huge network of emcees and producers banding together to make dope shit. I was happy to join in, and quickly found out that the leader of the group was Shark the SOB. SOB for Sons of Boombap if that didn’t click. He’d been played on #ATSIC a few times over the past few years, I think maybe at first on a track alongside Ivason Black, but more and more often as time passed. I didn’t know much about him going into this interview, so it was good to learn the history a bit and chop it up about the modern Hip Hop scene.
