Fly In Formation - B1 the Architect
B1 has been on the radar for a minute now, since he started his prolific solo career at about the same time that I started ATSIC in 2019 (he was around a bit before then). Since I’ve been paying attention I’ve seen him work with everyone from his talented homies in his old group Lunch Room Poetz (Philly Regs, Young Stitch), to his alt-rock flavoured group the Blade Runnerz; to singles with everyone from Eddy Jones to Konan Doyle all while maintaining his solo output and mixing and mastering for too many projects to name. It’s always easy to talk with someone who has this many plates spinning, and we got into everything from his 6 albums in 2024 (so far), to his history, his views on all sorts of indie rap strategies, his outlook on selling beats, the internet making collabs easier, and a bunch of other important stuff.
I haven’t posted the full October FiF schedule in a pretty poster format, but I’m talking to artists from across Canada every week for live interviews, so make sure to hit follow on Twitch and turn on notifications so you don’t miss when we go live. Hit follow on Youtube too while you’re at it so that you can catch the videos when they get edited and posted there a day or few later.
